Family Matters First, LLC service begins with a professional and comprehensive information gathering process that helps us understand your service needs.  We devote the same amount of care and attention to tackling small tasks as we do when working on big assignments, providing regular status reports to our clients.

Event Planning*

We partner with our clients to plan and facilitate the hosting of special family events, including:

• Family reunions
• Family retreats and sibling meetings
• Weddings and civil union services (small, medium, or large)
• Rehearsal dinners
• Bridal and baby showers
• Anniversary, birthday and graduation parties
• Memorial services and wakes (and auxiliary funeral planning support – e.g., family notification, etc.)
• Housewarming parties
• Holiday parties/gatherings
• Family-sponsored fundraisers/charity events
• Picnics and cookouts
• General/other parties/gatherings and special events

Event planning support may include all related services, from site selection to photography and entertainment coordination, etc., to providing support for select event-related activities, such as coordinating invitation mailing and processing, checking in guests, and/or managing on-site logistics.  We provide the big and the little touches that will make your event memorable.

Family Meeting Administration

Hosting an important family meeting that requires someone to take notes?  It can be challenging to be a participant in a meeting and the person responsible for recording the proceedings.  We can provide note-taking services for your family conferences, retreats, training sessions, and meetings so that you have a clear record of what occurred during the session and a list of action items for the future.

Estate Items Inventory and Distribution/Sale Planning Assistance*

Working closely with our clients, we provide help with inventorying items in preparation for an estate-related distribution, sale, or other disposal.  Services include preparing a descriptive listing of each item and packing up possessions of loved ones for distribution to heirs as well as charitable organizations.

Downsizing and Organizing Possessions*

We help families de-clutter/downsize and reorganize possessions—to increase their capacity and efficiency in locating residential items, important information and documents.  We organize home offices, cabinets, garages, work rooms, basements, and other storage areas—and provide assistance with creating storage and/or filing management plans.  We also assist with organizing electronic files.

Residential Relocation Assistance*

Planning to move?  We can assist with packing up your belongings and unpacking and organizing your possessions in your new residence.  (NOTE: All residential relocation services are provided on a local basis only.)

Inventory and Residential Relocation Assistance Services for Seniors

Is the family nest empty, or about to be empty?  Are you considering downsizing, limiting your household inventory, or moving into an assisted living facility or smaller place?  We can help you get rid of the items you don’t need and keep the items you most want.  Senior life downsizing need not be a daunting task with our help.

Holiday Planning Support Services*

Preparing for the holidays can be joyous as well as stressful and work-laden.  To help in your planning, we provide holiday tree trimming, decorating, table setting, gift wrapping, and other services.

Other Customized Support Services*

Sometimes, we get requests for special support services that are not listed on this website.  These services vary—but all are targeted at assisting families in improving or managing aspects of daily life.  Customized support services are delivered—if possible.
